I’ve been volunteering at Animal Rescues and Shelters for over 35 years and have always felt that I get so much more in return than I give.  The experience has made me (I hope) a better person.

When we relocated to the Colorado Springs area in November 2018, along with our two senior foster failures, I began a search to start volunteering.  When I came across Wild Blue Cat Sanctuary I was immediately interested and began doing my research.  I had never volunteered at a cat only rescue but liked the idea.

I began as a Monday AM ‘greeter and feeder’ of those starving kitties and also socializing on Mondays and Thursday.  This has become an important part of my life and I hope to continue as long as I can.
