Hi! My name is Kayte Pisculli.  I am one of the shift leaders at Wild Blue Cats!, where I have volunteered at since 2022. After my husband retired from the Air Force, my family and I moved here to Colorado. We have 3 children and 2 cats (one of which was a Wild Blue kitty, Misty). We adopted our first cat, Georgia, from a California shelter in 2020, and because we had such a great experience, my daughter decided she wanted to start volunteering. However, due to COVID restrictions, there were no opportunities at that time. So when we settled in here in Colorado, we discovered Wild Blue Cats! and started volunteering together and been loving our time ever since. Additionally, I am one of the medicine givers for our sick and/or injured “patients.” I also help out in other areas of the Rescue as needed.
     I love being able to care for our cats and being a part of this great organization. Working with our sick and/or injured “patients” is important to me, because it reminds me that what we do matters. Being a no-kill shelter means we respect the dignity of each and every cat and kitten that comes to us; no matter how sick, injured, or old they may be. The fact that shelters from all over the country seek our help to save as many cats’ lives as possible from euthanasia is exactly the reason I am proud to be a Wild Blue Cats! volunteer.
