Hi! I’m Sharon,
My journey into the world of animal rescue began in 2006 in Crested Butte, CO. After countless hours of fundraising, endless meetings with the planning commission and town council, and a lot of sweat equity, we successfully opened Paradise Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) in 2011.
It was Gunnison county’s very first animal rescue shelter. Prior to this we lovingly cared for the animals in our homes.
Here at Wild Blue, it feels like I’ve found another home. Over the past four months, you’d find me volunteering at Kaylene’s Kradle every Sunday morning alongside my incredible mentor, Anna and we’ll soon be shifting our efforts to Friday mornings. I’ve also recently become a part of the dedicated socializing team on Tuesday afternoons.
Another role I enjoy is that of a runner for the spay/neuter clinics. Working with Brandie, Marni, Lauri, Michelle and Dr. Erin has been amazing. My spare time is spent helping the post-adoption team scanning folders.
Being a part of Wild Blue has been a fulfilling chapter in my rescue journey. I’m passionate about every paw and tail here, and I look forward to continuing to make a difference, one cat at a time!
