Ector’s story
He’s been with us two years now. Why?……. cuz he is a little unsure and and timid around humans. He has made huge progress with his foster mom, Mimi, the last eight months and with time and patience, this ginger boy will continue to blossom in a quiet home.

Here’s what Mimi, his foster mom, has to say about him…….
This big beautiful gentle giant is Ector. He came to Wild Blue Cats! a little over two years ago in October 2016 and he is estimated to be a little over three years old rescued from a hoarder situation of 50 plus cats. One of his brothers, Espoo, and him came in together and were inseparable for quite some time. At one point, both went into foster care, and then Espoo was adopted, and Ector was back at the sanctuary on his own. For a while he spent most of his time outside in the catio, and then lived mostly in a bed on top of a cabinet, and he continued to be a very shy and timid kitty. He would usually bond with one other kitty, and always wanted a buddy to love and snuggle with.
I decided I wanted to try fostering him to see if he could be less shy. Ector has always loved other kitties big and small and is just the sweetest guy, wanting to snuggle and love on his feline friends. He was an immediate hit with my foster kittens and continues to be a sweet lovebug with them. He also is good with adult cats, and just wants to be friends with everyone. Ector is still working on trusting humans, but has come a long way in the eight months he has been in foster with me. He is not ready to be a lap cat or be picked up and held (although we are working on this), and while he can still be skittish, he loves to play and loves to get pets, and has a super motor when he gets purring. He has a very sweet nature and is not aggressive. When I make him too nervous, he swats at me to let me know.
He is currently a big “Papa” to my six foster kittens and he is actually helping socialize them since they came from a feral momma cat. He needs a very special home with adults who have the patience and love to continue to work on his trust and confidence with humans. He would love the company of one other kitty that he can buddy up with.
